Dilawri Rossocorsa Racing left Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas this past Sunday with another podium finish, valuable championship points, and encouraging performances from its driver lineup.
Michael Owens opened the weekend on a high note, qualifying on pole for Saturday’s race. He showed speed throughout the day and converted the front-row start into a third-place finish, securing another podium result for the team in the Coppa Shell class. Sunday’s race proved more challenging, as strong pace and hard racing up front resulted in contact that put Owens a lap down before the car was ultimately retired.
After missing Sebring, Ryan Dayton returned to the driver’s seat at Circuit of The Americas and delivered a consistent weekend in Coppa Shell competition. Dayton drove to a sixth-place finish on Saturday, showing steady pace and composure throughout the race. He followed that up with another clean performance on Sunday, bringing his Ferrari home seventh among a talented field.
Lance Cawley also produced a strong showing across the weekend in the Coppa Shell-AM class. He qualified third for Saturday’s race and ran well throughout the event, ultimately finishing fifth in class, winning the Gentleman category on the day. Sunday presented a tougher challenge, with Cawley battling in a tightly contested field and coming away with a mid-pack result.
Jeff Kiel continued to build experience and confidence on the track with a pair of solid finishes, including a 13th in-class finish on Saturday and 18th in-class on Sunday. His continued development and strong performance on a demanding circuit stood out.
As the Ferrari Challenge North America season approaches its midpoint, Dilawri Rossocorsa Racing continues to build momentum through strong qualifying performances, consistent race execution, and steady results across its driver lineup. Lance Cawley continues to lead the Gentleman standings, adding to the team’s strong season-long results.
The team now turns its attention to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca next month, where it will look to continue its progress and compete for further strong finishes.
