The wait for pricing details is over: Kia Canada has officially announced Canadian figures for the thoroughly redesigned 2027 Kia Seltos, giving buyers their first comprehensive look at the second-generation subcompact SUV. The 2027 Kia Seltos starts at an MSRP of $28,495* for the LX FWD 2.0-litre and tops out, for now, at $41,295* for the X-Line Limited AWD 1.6-litre Turbo-GDI. Redesigned gasoline models land at Canadian Kia dealerships in June 2026, and a new Seltos Hybrid is expected before the close of the year.

A Bigger Seltos Steps Into the Spotlight
Kia has not treated the new generation as a light refresh. The 2027 Kia Seltos has been completely redesigned with increased cabin space, additional cargo capacity, more screen space and improved overall comfort compared with the previous generation. Technology has also moved up the priority list. Kia says the new Seltos incorporates technology and Advanced Driver Assistance System features influenced by newer vehicles such as the Kia EV9, Kia EV4 and Kia EV5. That brings technology associated with Kia's latest products into its subcompact SUV lineup. The redesign arrives after a strong first generation. Since the Kia Seltos entered the Canadian market in 2020, Kia reports 110,747 units delivered, making the nameplate one of the company's stronger sellers in Canada.
Familiar Power Meets a Turbo Upgrade
The initial lineup offers two gasoline engines. The standard 2.0-litre four-cylinder is paired with Kia's Intelligent Variable Transmission, while drivers looking for additional output can move to the 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 190 horsepower. The turbo engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual control, giving the X-Line models a distinctly different powertrain setup from the 2.0-litre versions. The 2027 Kia Seltos lineup also brings another major change later in the year. For the first time, the Seltos will be offered with a hybrid powertrain.

Hybrid Power Is Joining the Family
The upcoming Kia Seltos Hybrid will pair an advanced 1.6-litre four-cylinder hybrid engine with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Kia plans to offer it in front-wheel drive, while available e-AWD will provide on-demand all-wheel-drive capability. Kia describes the e-AWD setup as a first for one of its HEV SUVs. Official hybrid pricing and fuel economy figures have not yet been announced and are expected closer to the model's Canadian on-sale date. That upcoming addition means the redesigned Seltos will ultimately offer three distinct powertrain configurations, giving the nameplate a broader range than before.

These figures include $2,100 freight, a $100 A/C charge, up to a $699 dealer fee and up to $314 in other applicable fees, levies and duties.
